☀️ Casual Summer Sundays

Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

As we enter the warm summer months, I pray that each of you continues to experience God's love, grace, and abundant blessings. Summer is a wonderful time to gather together in worship, fellowship, and service to the Lord.

To help everyone remain comfortable during the heat of the season, Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church will observe Casual Summer Sundays throughout the months of July and August.

We invite you to come casually—yet appropriately—dressed as we gather to praise, worship, and honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While our attire may become more relaxed for the summer season, our reverence for God and respect for His house remain unchanged.

Whether you choose to wear a polo shirt, dress shirt, modest dress, slacks, khakis, or other tasteful summer attire, we simply ask that your clothing reflects the dignity, modesty, and spirit of worship that glorifies Christ. Our focus has never been on what we wear, but on the condition of our hearts as we enter God's presence.

The Psalmist declares:

"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker."— Psalm 95:6 (KJV)

Our prayer is that Casual Summer Sundays will allow everyone to worship comfortably while continuing to maintain an atmosphere of excellence, reverence, and unity. We encourage you to invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to join us as we lift up the name of Jesus together. ☀️
